All I Want Is Wisdom

The correct application of knowledge acquired is wisdom. Knowledge is power if and only it is applied correctly and accordingly. What is the essence of knowing what is right to do to emerge successful in life without actually carrying out the act? It is like a student, preparing for an exam who after being told of areas where he or she should expect questions from, but failed to concentrate his or her readings in such areas. You already know the result of such students from the on set. The scripture in Proverbs 4:7 confirms the awesomeness of wisdom; "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and in all thy getting, get understanding." It follows that with wisdom, you are made for life. It is one thing to know that a particular acts is sinful or inimical to your health, but it takes godly wisdom to abstain from such acts. Why do we see people despite their educational backgrounds still indulge themselves in things which they know will kill them or mar their reputation? It's because they are not wise enough to abstain or resist such temptation. No wonder why little King Solomon ask God for wisdom when ask to make a request. He knew that when he has wisdom, he has all. It takes wisdom to exude excellent spirit in all your dealings like Daniel in Daniel 6:3 "Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm." it takes wisdom to mesmerize and subdue your enemies like David in 1st Samuel 18:14 "And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him." And it takes wisdom to flee from all appearance of evil like Joseph in Genesis 39:12 "And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out." The bottom line of this is to fear God because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

But Without Faith

The word without faith depict a state of mind characterized by doubt, fear and un-believe. It is a point where one has lost focus in God. It is a life of absolute darkness and that was why the scripture confirms that it will be impossible to please God.

We live by faith, move by faith and even have our being by faith. Without faith, it would have be impossible for us to relate with others and carry out our daily routines. It's faith that gives us the assurance that our next step on the earth will not amount to a fall. It's faith that gives us the assurance that as we open our mouth to speak forth, words won't cease from coming forth. It's faith that gives us the assurance that when we stretch forth any parts of our body, they would respond accordingly.

Why do we believe that when we sit on a chair, it is able to carry our weight or that we are fit and capable of lifting a particular object or thing? It is nothing but faith.

Now you see how relevance faith is in all our dealings with man and with our maker. Faith can create, faith can re-create and faith can re-generate. Faith is dynamic, faith is superb and faith is God's divine uniqueness. Everything created was by faith and faith count a lot with God.

Why do you think many suffer and get deprive a lot of their right? It is because they have not exercise their faith correctly on God's word which says: "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalm 139:14.

Suffice to say that faith is acting correctly on God's word. The bible confirms these dynamites of faith in four different scriptures - The just shall live by faith: Habakkuk 2:4b, Romans 1:17b, Galatians 3:11b, Hebrews 10:38. Meaning, if for instance a disabled person can take a step of faith and act correctly on the word of God; Ps 139:14, without anyone praying or laying hands on such person, healing and complete restoration is a sure banker because God has promise to honour our faith.

When God instructed Cain and Abel to honour Him with their firstlings, why was Abel's offering accepted and Cain's rejected despite the fact that they both acted on God's word? It was because Abel acted correctly on God word by offering the best of his flocks to God while Cain brought the worse and not too good to behold of his fruit as offering.

Also, when God commanded father Abraham to leave his father house to a place He would yet show him; to bless him and make him a blessing (Gen 12:1-2), but because Abraham acted less correctly on the word by taking his brother Lot along, the promises of God did not begin fulfilment until he separated himself totally from lot. This is what happen when we fail to give God our best and surrender all to him accordingly.

(SWOFT) Scriptural Word For Today-The weapon of praise and worship

The scriptures says in Psalms 22:3 'But thou art Holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel'.

This explains that God lives inside praises or better put that God's secret is praises.

David knew this secret and he employed it so well that he became a man after God's heart. If we can praise God continuously, we would have a continuous reason to praise Him because the more we praise Him, the more He will raise us.

One of the weapon that satan has no successful strategies against is nothing but the weapon of praise and worship. Hear this: 'If the devil cannot stop the start of your worship, then he cannot stop its impact. It is wisdom to know that those who worship God more, pray less an get much done. Hear what the Psamist says in Psalm 119:164 'Seven times a day do I prise thee because of thy righteous judgement.' But Psalm 55:17 says: 'Evening and morning and noon, will I pray and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.' Meaning that our praises to God should exceeds our prayers to Him.

When The Battle Is Over

It was Claude Pepper Who said: "life is like ridding a bicycle, you don't fall off unless you stop

pedalling".
The scripture admonished us that in life, we will face tribulations but we should worry less as being Christians because He (Jesus) has overcome the world.

Tribulations and adversity ought to strengthens our faith and geared us towards fulfilling our divine destiny. But today, many by reason of their troubles and battles of life wonder away in faith and fail to fulfil their destiny. Heaven is warning someone through this write-up that 'though the battle you are fighting may seams very strange and confusing but look on to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith because your testimony shall be unstoppable if you will hold on and hold out'.

As christian solders of Christ and children of destinies, war has been declared unto us and we must keep on fighting the good fight of faith until we lay hold of the crown set before us. The crown, an emblem of glory has been set before us and only those who endure and fight to the end shall be saved and crowned.

How do we fight the good fight of faith? We fight by:
*Trusting and relying only in the saving name of Jesus
*Being spiritually sensitive and prayerful
*Not giving the devil the chance to make us worry, discourage and doubt
*Being in the mood of praise and worship unto God always
*Meditating on the word of God and applying it to our life
*Availing yourself of any opportunity to access the strength of our enemies and carry out a surprise attack against them.

Your Final destination

EVERY JOURNEY EMBARKED UPON, IS TIED TO A DESTINATION. 'Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth unto destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it'.
Matt 7:13-14.

Have you ever been to a games centers, take for instance a relay race center, a swimming contest or a car racing contest, there is always a final destination which they must reach.

In life, there is always a place called destination in all human endeavours. Even in corporate organisations or in our individualistic life, we set a destination for ourselves in form of 'goals' which could be monthly, quarterly or yearly as the case may be. These goals enable us to focus, protect us and enhances discipline which helps us to work to pattern.

When God called father Abraham in Genesis 12:1 'Now the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee.' The intention and the goal of God for this call was seen in Gen 12:2-3 'And I will make of thee a great nation...' And Abraham obeyed.

THE THIEF COMETH NOT BUT TO STEAL, TO KILL AND TO DESTROY!

Beware of the devil.
Have you ever wondered why you don't see people go about declaring their assets publicly or inviting an enemy (The Thief) to come and rub them of their belongings? Why would anyone not make every efforts to protect his life and properties. So says a Yoruba adage that "If a farmer experience a bountiful harvest in his farmland, he cleverly concealed it to avoid devourers.

Just as it is in the physical, so it is in the spiritual. Our spiritual life is more real and active than our physical life. When the bible says in John 10:10 that "The thief (devil) cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." Jesus was by this warning us on our need to watch against spiritual rubber, and he his no any other person than the enemy of our souls.

The bible made us to understand that the purpose why Christ came is to destroys the works of the devil. The works and purpose of the devil is to rub us of our salvation, to reduce the oil and the anointing of God in our life, to make us less effective and useful to God, to make our prayer life week and ineffective, to make our love for God's word grow cold, and above all, to mar the plane of God for our life. But thanks be to God that even though they will fight against us but they shall not prevail against us. Jeremiah 1:19.
